A long-serving member of the Secuoya Content Group team, Itziar Baztarrica joined the company in 2013 as part of the R&D&i department. Throughout the years he has occupied the positions of R&D manager, R&D director, content director at TEN and international director for Secuoya Contenidos. In 2022 he became Head of International Sales for Secuoya Studios, his role extending to all areas within the company (fiction, original productions, unscripted and films).

Crucial role between Spain and Miami

A graduate in Audiovisual Communication at the University of Navarra, Itziar Baztarrica attended the Screenwriting, Film and Television Master’s at the Autonomous University of Barcelona and completed his studies with a Film and TV Development certificate from the University of California (Los Angeles). As a teacher he offers his broad knowledge and experience to new professionals at various universities, such as the University of Navarra, where he began teaching in 2018, or the International University of Catalonia (UIC). Between 2004 and 2011, Itziar also worked in the R&D department for Boomerang TV, before taking the post of development coordinator for Verité Entertainment, in Los Angeles. He began working at Secuoya Content Group in 2013, eventually occupying his current position as Head of International Sales at Secuoya Studios in 2022. His role extends to all areas of the studio (fiction, original productions, unscripted and films), and he acts as a liaison between the team in Miami and clients.
