José Luis Gascue
Head of Distribution
José Luis Gascue joined the group as Head of Distribution in December 2022. From Miami, he manages the Secuoya Studios department alongside Sergio Pizzolante. Gascue entered Secuoya Studios after being the global head of sales for the leading Turkish company in the market, Calinos Entertainment. He was also previously vice-president of sales for Latin America and US Hispanic for FOX and head of sales at NBCUniversal.
International professional
A law graduate from the Andrés Bello Catholic University in Venezuela and with a master’s in law from the University of Miami, José Luis Gascue has been connected with the audiovisual industry since the start of his career. Three decades ago he was the commercial manager at HBO Latin America, where he worked for six years, gaining professional experience and driving the group’s growth through his work as a lawyer. In 2000, he began as director of operations and sales at NBCUniversal Media, to later make his move to Beverly Hills Entertainment as vice-president of sales for Latin America. An active negotiator, he went on to expand his curriculum at 20th Century Fox, also as vice-president of sales for Latin America. Until 2022 he was overseeing global sales for Calinos Entertainment, as executive vice-president, and from December of that year Gascue formed part of the leading company in the creation and production of audiovisual content, Secuoya Studios, as Head of Distribution.
