Patricia Spa entered Secuoya Studios in January 2021. The Tres Cantos audiovisual hub opened its doors to welcome her as Head of Business Affairs. Before joining the studio, she worked as a lawyer at the Garrigues law firm, as legal advisor to Grupo OHL in North America and structuring private investment operations on audiovisual projects at LIFO Investment. Her connection with the audiovisual industry led to her current position at Secuoya Studios.

Legal, finance and audiovisual production

Lawyer and economist, specialist in audiovisual production, commercial contracting and project financing. This is how Patricia Spa defines herself professionally. With extensive experience in investment operations, M&A and international transactions, she graduated in Economics and Law at the Carlos III University of Madrid to later graduate in MIBA (master’s in International Business Administration) at the Nova Southeastern University (NSU) in Florida. She also completed her training qualifying as an Expert Professional in Copyright and Intellectual Property Law at the UNED. She worked as a lawyer in the early days of her professional career, before making the leap to the audiovisual industry and becoming business affairs manager for the joint venture formed by Morena Films, Atresmedia Cine and Altamar Capital Partners to seek investment in cinematic Economic Interest Groups (AIEs). Secuoya Studios later hired her as Head of Business Affairs, a post she occupies today.
