Secuoya Studios closes a strong run of international sales at Iberseries & Platino Industria and MIPCOM
‘El laberinto de las mariposas’, set to premiere on AMC+ on November 13, leads the slate of deals, driven by strong international market interest in Can Yaman
‘Terra Alta’, ‘La Encrucijada’, ‘El Homenaje’, ‘Bajo un fuego’, ‘Montecristo’ and ‘Los 39’ round out the company’s sales activity across Europe, Latin America and the Middle East
Secuoya Studios wrapped its participation at Iberseries & Platino Industria and MIPCOM with multiple international deals covering seven titles from its catalogue. The agreements strengthen the Spanish studio’s content presence across Europe, Latin America and the Middle East, with ‘El laberinto de las mariposas’ leading the sales activity.
These deals reflect the studio’s strategic commitment to retaining intellectual property rights, enabling it to lead the commercial exploitation of its content across different territories and windows while building long-term value for its stories and bringing them to audiences around the world.
‘El laberinto de las mariposas’ leads international sales
The series starring Can Yaman is generating strong interest from buyers around the world. Highlights include pre-sales secured ahead of the markets in Latin America and Western Europe, as well as deals for its release in the Czech Republic; with Achla TV in Israel; MagentaTV in Greece; TV Markiza and streaming platform Voyo in Slovakia; and Pro Plus in Slovenia.
These agreements are complemented by interest from buyers in Germany, France, Poland, Hungary, Romania, the Nordic countries and Japan, opening up further opportunities for the series’ international distribution.
Starring Can Yaman alongside María de Nati, ‘El laberinto de las mariposas’ will premiere on AMC on November 13. The romantic thriller follows a secret agent who, after being betrayed, must prove his innocence while trying to prevent an operation targeting state funds.
‘Terra Alta’, ‘La Encrucijada’ and ‘El homenaje’ extend their international reach
Following its premiere on Movistar Plus+ last December, ‘Terra Alta’ is taking another step in its international expansion and will arrive in Poland in 2027 through TVP VOD, the streaming platform of Polish public broadcaster TVP, as well as in Israel through HOT.
Meanwhile, ‘La Encrucijada’, which aired on Antena 3, atresplayer and Disney+, and has already premiered in Latin America and the United States through ViX (TelevisaUnivision), will also be available in Croatia through HRT and in Israel through Achla TV.
'El homenaje’, which reached more than 20 European territories following its Spanish premiere on SkyShowtime and subsequently on Prime Video, will be available across Latin America before the end of 2026.
These sales further extend the international journey of the productions following their launches in Spain, expanding their reach among European and Latin American audiences.
‘Bajo un fuego’, ‘Montecristo’ and ‘Los 39’ complete the sales line-up
The feature film ‘Bajo un fuego’, which is due to reach cinemas soon, has been acquired by Achla TV in Israel and will also launch in Latin America in 2027. These deals strengthen its international journey ahead of its theatrical release and reinforce the presence of the studio’s film offering in these markets.
In Portugal, SIC has acquired ‘Montecristo’, while NOS has added ‘Los 39’ to its offering. The latter, already available on Prime Video in Latin America and awaiting its premiere on TVE, adds another territory to its distribution footprint and continues to expand its reach across Europe and Latin America.
These agreements open up new markets for upcoming releases while creating further opportunities for titles already available, extending the reach of the Secuoya Studios catalogue and prolonging the commercial life of its stories.
