Curro is a fanciful kitchen robot salesman who dreams of one day having a high-flying job in finance. In the middle of a marital crisis and up to his neck in debt, he makes a promise he’ll find hard to keep: if his 9-year-old son Nico gets top marks in all his subjects, he’ll take him away on an unforgettable summer holiday. The boy pulls it off and father and son set off on a journey which brings them face to face with people and situations they could never have imagined and which change their lives forever.
