'Proximity' is a tribute to the Spanish BASE jumper Alex Villar, who tragically passed away in May 2023. He was known for confronting the most dangerous challenges of Wingsuit Proximity flying. The documentary presents both a professional and personal perspective on what it’s like to dedicate oneself to this extreme sport, seen through the eyes of those who practice it, along with insights from his closest circle: family and friends.
In 'Proximity', viewers will learn about some of the major challenges faced by the adventurer from Madrid, including recreating his most spectacular jump—the one he made in 2019 when he crossed the natural arch of Piedrafita at 250 kilometers per hour—and following in the footsteps of iconic athlete Valery Rozov on the perilous Kilimanjaro.
