Eduardo Campoy, co-producer of the feature and head of the film division at Secuoya Studios, shared his confidence in his production partner, Ezekiel Montes, and praised the remarkable talent behind the project. "I’ve always been drawn to stories that show how people are shaped by their circumstances. Mamen’s journey reflects the struggles of many who yearn to fulfill their true aspirations," said Montes, who also took on the roles of screenwriter and director of photography for the film, shot in Málaga.

A Story of Dreams and Talent

Leading the cast of Aullar is Elena Martínez, who brings to life Mamen, a character she describes as courageous: "Mamen is a fighter who, despite her hardships, never stops dreaming. Through rehearsals and close collaboration with the cast, we found the perfect tone for her journey."

"The protagonist’s first step is accepting her father’s illness. From there, a long-overdue process of reconnection begins" explained director Sergio Siruela during the festival’s discussion panel.

For Antonio Dechent, his role was a profound challenge: "My character carries deep shame and guilt. He feels broken, but reconnecting with his grandson reignites his desire to rebuild his family bonds". Joining them on screen are Paco Tous, Jorge Tapia, Adelfa Calvo, Antonio Jesús Serrano, and Sandra Torrecillas.

Once again, Secuoya Studios makes its mark at the Málaga Film Festival, presenting a film designed to move audiences and leave a lasting impression. A journey of redemption, dreams, and second chances, Aullar explores the light and darkness of family reconciliation.

The film was featured in the Official Selection – Out of Competition at the 28th Málaga Film Festival, with a special screening attended by producers Eduardo Campoy and Ezekiel Montes, director Sergio Siruela, and lead actors Elena Martínez and Antonio Dechent.
