Premieres April 29
Five young education students are about to embark on a professional experience that will shape their careers. The feature-length documentary 'Generación Docentes', produced by Secuoya Studios in collaboration with the Princess of Girona Foundation, follows these future teachers as they travel across Spain to begin their first placements — far from the environments they're used to — in rural schools located in various autonomous communities. The documentary will premiere on the big screen on Tuesday, April 29, at 8:30 p.m. at Cinesa Manoteras in Madrid.
A Tribute to Rural Schools
'Generación Docentes' captures the work of teachers participating in the Generación Docentes program, an initiative led by the Princess of Girona Foundation. The program gives future educators the opportunity to continue developing their vocation and discover innovative teaching methods aimed at strengthening the education system.
This project is a heartfelt tribute to rural schools — to their teachers, principals, and students. It highlights a more personal approach to education, using methods tailored to the environment, the context, and the individual needs of students — all while fostering a strong connection with nature. The film reflects the values of rural communities and their distinct pace of life and social dynamics, offering a sharp contrast to the urban education experience.
