On Friday, May 16, 'El cuento del lobo' will premiere in cinemas. The new thriller is produced by Secuoya Studios in collaboration with Álamo Producciones Audiovisuales and A Contracorriente Films. Starring Daniel Grao ('La chica invisible'), Lucía Jiménez ('Desaparecidos'), Paco Tous ('Zorro'), and María Romanillos ('La casa'), the film explores gender-based violence and its social implications. Where do we draw the line between public and private?
The studio celebrated the arrival of its new feature film with a pre-premiere event in Madrid on the evening of May 13, where the cast and part of the technical crew attended a screening of the film at the Verdi Cinemas in the capital. The event was graced by the film’s director, Norberto López Amado, renowned producer Eduardo Campoy, and playwright Borja Ortiz de Gondra, author of Duda razonable, the original work the film is based on.
Before the screening, the film’s cast, along with the director and producer, addressed the audience, inviting them to experience the story in cinemas and sharing the emotion behind a film that seeks to inspire reflection.
“The work the actors have done is spectacular, and watching it in a cinema has an incredible impact. The silence and energy that fills the room while watching the film is astonishing” said Norberto López Amado during the presentation.
El cuento del lobo arrives on the big screen following its exclusive presentation at the Huelva Film Festival last November. At the event, the four lead actors, along with Norberto López Amado and Eduardo Campoy, witnessed firsthand the warm reception from the audience. It was a memorable occasion marked by enthusiastic applause and heartfelt recognition from the theatergoers in Huelva.
