The countdown has begun for the premiere of 'Matices', a co-production between Secuoya Studios and Stellar Media, in association with SkyShowtime. The series has unveiled its official poster, featuring the entire main cast, with less than a month to go before its exclusive release on the international streaming service.
On the first Thursday of June, the platform will release the first three episodes of the studio’s latest major project, followed by weekly episode drops until all eight episodes of the series are available.

An Outstanding Cast
This psychological thriller is an original idea by Javier Naya, Alex Meriweather, and Sergio Cánovas, who also directed and produced the series alongside María García-Castrillón. The series boasts a stellar cast led by Maxi Iglesias ('Punto Nemo'), Enrique Arce ('Money Heist'), Hovik Keuchkerian ('Red Queen'), Juana Acosta ('La templanza'), Fariba Sheikhan ('The Unit'), Miriam Giovanelli ('Nacho'), Eusebio Poncela ('Merlí. Sapere Aude'), Raúl Prieto ('The Snow Girl'), and Elsa Pataky ('Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga'), who returns to Spanish television fiction after two decades focused on the international industry.
The cast also includes Carlos Fuentes, Alfonso Bassave, Ruth Armas, Carlos Tovar, Luisa Mayol, Javier Naya, Zöe Millán, Isabella Savin, Biel Mula, Abril Zamora, Alex Meriweather, and Ana Esther García, with a special appearance by Luis Tosar.
What Matices is all about
The objective: to complete Dr. Marlow’s psychiatric treatment. The result: a tragic and unresolved mystery. The story of 'Matices' takes viewers into a remote winery where six patients seek to heal their deepest struggles through the treatment of a renowned psychiatrist. Following a unique ceremonial wine tasting, an unexpected twist will leave the characters — and the audience — stunned.
An international journey
'Matices' is one of Secuoya Studios’ most anticipated projects of 2025. Ahead of its premiere, the series — co-produced with Stellar Media — has been showcased at several major international markets, including Berlinale Series Market, where it was a standout feature in its latest edition. On February 17, María García-Castrillón, Director of Co-productions at Secuoya Studios, and Sergio Cánovas, creator and director of the series, alongside moderator John Hopewell, International Features Editor at Variety, presented the show at the Spanish Thrillers showcase. This event was part of a collaboration between Iberseries & Platino Industria and the Berlinale Series Market, highlighting the global appeal and success of Spanish suspense stories and their ability to reach new audiences worldwide.
Secuoya Studios continues to solidify its position as a leading Spanish studio in the creation, production, post-production, and distribution of content. In addition to the upcoming release of 'Matices' (June 5), the studio also plans to debut two films in cinema: 'El cuento del lobo' (May 16) and 'Under a volcano' (June 20).
