Amanda’s strong will, Octavio Oramas’ powerful temperament, David’s humility, and César’s confidence have already become staples of prime time, marking one of the season’s biggest television premieres. Meet the main characters of 'The crossroad'.
Astrid Janer is Amanda Oramas
Amanda has always been treated like a delicate porcelain doll. This overprotection, imposed by her father, has sparked a deep desire for independence—to prove that she doesn’t need the Oramas name to achieve her goals.
Despite her strong character, she is fun, empathetic, and sensitive. She always sides with the underdog—especially within her family, where she shares a deep bond with her brother David.
Her ability to stay grounded, her boldness, and her calm under pressure have made her an essential figure at the Oramas Group, where she works as Head of Communications and Public Image.
Rodrigo Guirao is César Bravo
César is bursting with energy and passion. Confident and analytical, he can solve any problem with precision and courage. Born in Spain but raised in Mexico, he considers himself Mexican by heart, proud of a heritage and identity he feels was taken from him. He’s an only child and lost his father early in life, growing up with a strong bond to his beloved mother Estrella.
César arrives at the Oramas household seeking revenge—but meeting Amanda may derail his plan.
Abel Folk is Octavio Oramas
Father of Amanda and David. Octavio has two sacred pillars: work and family. A powerful businessman, he owns Oramas Group, one of the most prominent luxury hotel chains in Europe and Latin America. Authoritative, traditional, and used to being obeyed, he built his empire from scratch through questionable business practices.
He’s seen as a benefactor in his town, where he created jobs and prosperity through tourism. Respected—sometimes feared—by the community, his fragile yet enormous ego thrives on this admiration. Arrogant and unwilling to admit mistakes, his fear of humiliation stems from deep insecurities. His controlling and competitive nature often causes tension with his children, whom he has spoiled with luxuries but burdened with high expectations.
Antonio Velázquez is David Oramas
Amanda’s brother and Octavio’s eldest son, though he often feels unrecognized by his father. He serves as Deputy Director of the Oramas Group, always under Octavio’s final authority.
David is deeply in love with his wife Patricia, who brings out the best in him. But their laughter is fading as failed fertility treatments strain their marriage.
Paula Prendes is Patricia Reyes
From humble beginnings, Patricia's beauty opened doors to elite runways and, eventually, high society. Married to David Oramas, she gave up modeling to become a businesswoman. She runs a hostess agency with obsessive attention to detail.
Disciplined, observant, and fiercely ambitious, she has fought for the life she believes she deserves. Marrying into the Oramas family gave her access to the luxurious world she aspired to—and she’ll do anything to stay at the top. Amanda is her main rival.
Samantha Siqueiros is Julia Torres
Life has taught her that nothing comes for free. Vibrant yet empathetic, Julia has developed resilience after life’s many blows. Raised in Mexico by self-reliant women, she came to Spain to lift her family out of poverty and fund her mother’s medical care—only to be lured into a sex trafficking ring.
She escaped with the help of Nando, a security guard who fell in love with her, but soon found herself trapped in another toxic relationship that damaged her self-esteem.
Cristóbal Suárez is Álvaro Barahona
Amanda’s fiancé and Mariví’s son. He’s the Oramas Group’s legal advisor and Octavio’s right-hand man. Stylish and seemingly confident, his self-assurance is built on the privileged position he holds—as Octavio’s trusted lawyer and Amanda’s future husband.
Isabel Serrano is Mónica Garza
Intuitive, captivating, and demanding, Mónica is the director of the Oramas Group’s flagship hotel. Elegant and decisive, she embraces her role as Octavio’s discreet partner. She has a strong spirit and fierce loyalty, especially when her loved ones are at risk.
Like Octavio, her childhood was turbulent—they met in an orphanage, where he became her unlikely protector, earning her eternal gratitude.
Silvia Marsó is Mariví Casal
Mariví is a storm of resentment in heels. Proud, sharp-witted, and fiercely self-made, she never bows to adversity. She lives with clear expectations of life—and of Octavio Oramas, whom she almost married.
Candela Márquez is Laura Contreras
Independent, confident, and tireless, Laura raised her son alone while carving out a professional path she knew she deserved. A top law student at a prestigious Mexican university, she’s known for her intellect and knack for spotting crucial legal details.
She’s César’s oldest friend. Though their brief romance ended painfully for her, she’s settled into a long-distance friendship with him.
Ángela Chica is Sara Vega
Amanda’s best friend and assistant. Sweet, cheerful, and outgoing, Sara comes from a long line of Oramas estate workers. Though deeply attached to her hometown, her curious nature draws her to other cultures. Her love of cinema is a substitute for the travel her humble background couldn't afford.
She’s dating Kevin, whom she met while he worked on the estate.
Mauricio Abad is Kevin Alarcón
Sara’s boyfriend and César’s friend and employee. Friendly, loyal, and quiet, Kevin once set off with just a backpack and a few pesos, ready to explore the world. He learned to live in the moment, adapt, and make do with little. He found peace in the island’s forests—and in Sara’s arms.
Anna Silvetti is Estrella Olavarría Bravo
César’s mother. Once a shining star in Mexican high society, she crossed the ocean for love. Educated, multilingual, and socially adept, she had a diplomatic career representing Mexico abroad. After her husband Roberto died, she was forced to flee Spain with César to protect their lives.
Raúl Sanz is Saúl Garza
After thirty years in prison for a crime he didn’t commit, Saúl is about to be released, driven by revenge. Charismatic but volatile and lacking empathy, he battled drug addiction in his youth and was involved in a child prostitution ring at the orphanage he shared with his sister Mónica. Addiction led him to cross an unforgivable line with her—a mistake he’s paid for dearly.
Eduardo Velasco is Humberto González
Loyal to a fault—to his loved ones and his principles. So much so that he becomes involved in César’s quest for revenge out of loyalty to César’s late father, his best friend. Few know he was once a police officer; now he works as a boat mechanic and is intimately familiar with the seedy underbelly of Oramas’s port operations.
Produced by Eduardo Galdo and Montse García, 'The Crossroad' is directed by Alexandra Graf. Lele Portas serves as executive co-producer with a writing team led by Joana Martínez Ortueta.
