In theaters April 10
Starring Salva Reina, Kira Miró, Carlos Santos, and Elia Galera
The dramedy ‘Solos’ took center stage on the second day of the 29th Málaga Film Festival. Starring Salva Reina, Kira Miró, Carlos Santos, and Elia Galera, the film was part of the Official Selection (Out of Competition), marking its first public screening.
On Saturday, March 7, the four actors and part of the film’s team attended the presentation of the feature, celebrating its debut at the Málaga-based festival. The film is set to hit theaters on April 10. Director Guillermo Ríos and producer Eduardo Campoy were also present, with Campoy celebrating his 100th film with ‘Solos’.
“‘Solos’ is a drama with a strong layer of ironic comedy, but above all, it’s a journey of healing, friendship, love, strengthening bonds, and all the emotions that arise along the way,” said Guillermo Ríos during the Q&A, where he highlighted the depth of the themes explored by the characters throughout the story.
“Ana has been an expressive vehicle to portray the challenges women face in striving to be and appear successful,” said Elia Galera about her character, also emphasizing the emotional impact of the film as a reflection of “a highly representative generational range.”
The film had two exclusive screenings during the Málaga Film Festival: the official screening on the afternoon of Saturday, March 7, at Cine Albéniz, attended by the cast and crew; and a second screening the following day, Sunday, March 8, at 7:30 PM at Multicines Rosaleda.
‘Solos’ is a story about connection and personal relationships, aiming to resonate deeply with audiences through a narrative that reflects the reality of many people. It is a film adaptation of the novel of the same name by Paloma Bravo, directed by Guillermo Ríos and written by Manuel Gancedo, arriving in theaters on April 10.
