Filming has begun on the comedy 'Tres', an adaptation of Juan Carlos Rubio’s successful play of the same name, directed by María Ruiz, who marks her second feature after Ni contigo ni sin mí, which will soon hit theaters.
“Tres will not only be a fun and moving experience for audiences, but also a project where technical and visual creativity will play a unique role in the story,” previews the director.
Produced by Álamo Producciones Audiovisuales, Tres en raya la película S.L. (Secuoya Studios), Twin Freaks Studio and A Contracorriente Films, the film features an outstanding cast including Olivia Molina (La casa), Teresa Riott (Valeria), Aixa Villagrán (La virgen roja), and Maxi Iglesias (Matices), alongside Aaron Cobos and Teresa Cuesta. The movie explores the complexity of friendship, the passage of time, and motherhood, all with a fresh and humorous touch.
Secuoya Studios presents this entertaining story adapted by María Ruiz and Gemma Ventura ('Todos los nombres de Dios'), shot under the cinematography of Juanmi Márquez ('Ni contigo ni sin mí') with Jonathan García ('Padres') as art director and Guillermo Ríos ('Solos') in production management.
Synopsis
Rocío, Ángela, and Carlota haven’t seen each other in three decades—since they finished their studies. Once inseparable friends, the paths of their lives have taken them in different directions. Yet at this point in their lives, they share something in common: approaching fifty, they feel life hasn’t turned out as they expected and they haven’t fulfilled their dream of becoming mothers. One long night, they decide to take matters into their own hands. Is it too late? And what if they find the ideal man, get pregnant by him, and form a family? Once they locate the perfect candidate, they must ask the big question: “Would you mind lending us three sperm?”
