A comedy feature starring Jaime Lorente, Leo Harlem and Adriana Torrebejano
Love and comedy come together in a feel-good feature designed to entertain and engage audiences in equal measure. 'Coartadas' premieres on the small screen this Friday, April 3, on Movistar Plus+.
Following its theatrical release late last year, 'Coartadas' lands on the streaming platform ready to captivate viewers with a story of romance and entanglements. “A kind of comedy you don’t see anymore,” says director Martín Cuervo.
Headlined by Leo Harlem, Adriana Torrebejano and Jaime Lorente, the feature also stars Llum Barrera, Salva Reina, Paula Prendes, Ana Jara and Antón Lofer. The film is directed by Martín Cuervo and written by Curro Velázquez and Benjamín Herranz.
Synopsis
Miguel runs Coartadas, a company specializing in crafting alibis for clients looking to avoid compromising situations. After completing one assignment—driving a hearse—he accidentally runs over Noelia. The two quickly develop a mutual attraction, sparking a romantic relationship. However, Noelia is a judge who despises dishonesty, prompting Miguel to conceal the truth about his business and claim he owns a funeral home. Complications escalate when Miguel meets Noelia’s parents—only to discover that her father is one of his clients.
