Who’s who in 'Under a volcano'?

Meet the characters played by William Levy, Maggie Civantos, Adriana Torrebejano, Fabiola Guajardo, Antón Lofer, and Pino Montesdeoca in this romantic drama

Now in theaters

Skilled, determined, and vulnerable to love, Dani and Mario — the protagonists of 'Under a volcano' — are torn between reason and emotion in this unprecedented story. A romantic drama with hints of action, it introduces us to characters who are confident in their professional roles, yet face the profound challenge of blending duty with desire.

William Levy and Maggie Civantos lead the cast of 'Under a volcano', joined by Adriana Torrebejano, Fabiola Guajardo, Antón Lofer, and Pino Montesdeoca. Want to know who’s who in this gripping tale about saving the town of Garachico from a volcanic eruption?

William Levy is Captain Mario Torres

Mario Torres is a captain in the Military Emergency Unit (UME). He’s a brave and daring man, well-known for his heroic actions in disaster response operations. His work is a true calling, and he’s fully committed to serving and protecting the public. He brings that same passion to his personal life, following his heart when he falls in love.

Maggie Civantos is Volcanologist Dani Melián

Dani is an intuitive and headstrong volcanologist who travels the world to observe and warn about volcanic eruptions. She chose to follow in the footsteps of her father — a renowned volcanologist — captivated by the books and research he left behind. Dani relies on unconventional methods and has no time for love, as she’s entirely devoted to her work… until Captain Torres enters her life.

Adriana Torrebejano is Lieutenant Ana Salamero

Lieutenant Salamero is a bold and spirited woman who works closely with Captain Torres. Once his trainee, she now follows him on all his missions. Ana brings common sense and clarity in dangerous situations, and also serves as his trusted confidante when it comes to matters of the heart.

Fabiola Guajardo is Ximena Cruz

Ximena Cruz is a smart and self-assured woman and a member of the Volcanology Institute. More traditional than Dani, she sticks to protocol and is skeptical of Dr. Melián’s unorthodox methods. Ximena had a past fling with Captain Torres, and when fate brings them together again, she doesn’t hesitate to get close to him once more.

Elia Galera is Commander Carlés

Commander Carlés is a fearless and tenacious woman who has worked hard to earn her high-ranking position in the UME. She leads her team with efficiency and has earned their deep respect. She entrusts the emergency response in Garachico to Captain Torres, the person she trusts most after years of working together.

Antón Lofer is Corporal López

Corporal López is an eager and resourceful young man facing one of his first major missions. For him, taking part in the emergency operation in Garachico is a unique opportunity to witness Captain Torres in action.

Produced by Secuoya Studios and Álamo Producciones Audiovisuales, in collaboration with William Levy Entertainment, 'Under a volcano' is now showing in theaters. Don’t miss this story directed by Martín Cuervo on the big screen.
