Served on the fiction jury and took part as a featured panelist in a professional roundtable
Brendan Fitzgerald, CEO of Secuoya Studios, took part in the 64th edition of the Monte-Carlo Television Festival, held from June 14 to 18, which turned the Principality into the epicenter of the international audiovisual industry. For more than six decades, the festival has brought together studios, platforms, broadcasters, talent, and media in a unique setting, combining world premieres, panels, and professional networking events.
Brendan served on the fiction jury alongside renowned industry figures such as Judith Light (jury president), Eriq Ebouaney, Rachel Griffiths, and John Reardon, who were responsible for selecting the best fiction productions of the season.
On Monday, June 16, he also participated as a panelist in the roundtable Counting the Cost: Where to Film & Get the Best Breaks, organized by Drama Quarterly, part of the British media group C21 Media. Moderated by Michael Pickard, editor of the magazine, the session brought together top industry executives to discuss key factors when choosing filming locations, as well as the tax incentives available in different territories. Brendan contributed his expertise in international production and his strategic vision on how to maximize resources without compromising on quality or creative ambition.
His participation in Monte-Carlo further strengthened Secuoya Studios' position as a key player in content creation for the global market. This festival was the latest stop in an intense international agenda, following the studio’s participation in major industry events such as Content Americas (Miami), Berlinale (Berlin), Series Mania (Lille), SerienCamp (Cologne), and the Cartagena International Film Festival (FICCI). The studio’s presence at these key events reflects its commitment to expanding its productions to new audiences and building strong international partnerships.
