Secuoya Studios strengthens its commitment to local content and grants greater autonomy to its Latin America studio

The company consolidates an autonomous model in the region, with end-to-end development and production capabilities and full decision-making authority to drive original, hyper-local content.

Secuoya Studios, a strategic pillar in Secuoya Content Group’s content development, is strengthening its commitment to local content by granting Latin America full operational independence in the region—reinforcing its international positioning and its commitment to generating original content from the territory.

Secuoya Studios structures this model through integrated regional capabilities across development, production and business affairs, operating with full autonomy in decision-making on projects, talent and content, while maintaining cross-functional coordination with other global areas of the Group.

The goal is to meet the growing demand for 100% local and hyper-local premium content, strengthening the studio’s ability to identify, develop and produce relevant stories in strategic markets such as Mexico, Colombia and the U.S. Hispanic segment.

As part of this push, the company will also be joined by top-tier strategic advisor Pierluigi Gazzolo, who will participate in his capacity as founder of Farniente Media, while combining this role with his position as an advisory board member at Secuoya. His work will include analysis and decision-support in development and content projects, as well as helping identify and attract talent and strengthening commercial connections across the region.

“This model reflects a clear strategic vision: to be closer to stories, talent and local audiences. We are committed to an operation in Latin America with full operational independence, where decision-making, development and production take place within the territory itself—rooted in a local perspective with a global ambition,” said Raúl Berdonés, Executive Chairman of Secuoya Content Group.

Leading operations in Latin America will be Daniel Hernández Bocanegra, the Group’s senior executive in the region.

“Latin America is now one of the studio’s main growth engines and one of the most dynamic regions in the audiovisual industry. This model allows us to consolidate a truly local way of working, with teams that operate independently and with end-to-end capabilities on the ground—strengthening our competitiveness and our ability to generate relevant, exportable content aligned with international demand,” added Daniel Hernández Bocanegra, General Manager for Latam.

This approach will be implemented through creative pods led by executive producers and local creatives, driving the generation, development and greenlight decisions for projects directly from within the territory.

With this strategy, Secuoya Studios reinforces its positioning as an international benchmark in the creation, development, production and distribution of content, committed to a flexible operating model that empowers local talent and the development of stories with a distinctive identity.
