Zorro to open MIPCOM CANNES'23

The screening of the Secuoya Studios production, released by Mediawan Rights, will be part of the 39th edition of the international market with the presence of the executive producers and part of its main cast.

'Zorro' will be part of the opening of MIPCOM CANNES 2023. Mediawan Rights and the international market announced the presence of the adaptation of the classic character produced by Secuoya Studios at the 39th edition of the international fair, which will take place in Cannes from October 16 to 19. The executive producers and part of the main cast will also attend the event.

This bold reinterpretation of the iconic masked hero will take center stage the day before the festival's official opening, with a screening event on Sunday, October 15 (6 p.m.) at the renowned Grand Auditorium at the Palais des Festivals. The invitation-only screening will be followed by a Q&A with the main cast present and the series' executive producers, including Sergio Pizzolante and David Martinez.

MIPCOM CANNES will bring together professionals from more than 40 countries and feature around 260 exhibitors. Prominent studios and production companies worldwide will be present again this year at the world's largest television and entertainment executives gathering.

The series, which will be available on Prime Video during the first half of 2024 in Latin America, the United States, Spain, Andorra and Portugal, stars Miguel Bernardeau ('Élite') and Renata Notni ('El dragón'), and also features Emiliano Zurita ('Cómo sobrevivir soltero'), Dalia Xiuhcoatl ('Oasis'), Paco Tous ('La casa de papel'), Rodolfo Sancho ('Mar de plástico'), Joel Bosquet ('Victor Ros') and Elia Galera ('El Cid'), and many others.

‘Zorro,' which will also be aired on TVE, is a fresh and updated version of the classic character, produced by David Martínez, David Cotarelo, Ángela Agudo, Sergio Pizzolante, Andy Kaplan, Jesús Torres-Viera, John Gertz and Glenda Pacanins.
