The shows broadcast on Canal Sur, produced by Secuoya Studios, continue to be a key source of news and current affairs for audiences in Andalusia. Last Wednesday, February 4, ‘Hoy en día con Toñi Moreno’ and ‘Mesa de análisis’ set new records, reaching their highest figures since launch.

A leading source of current affairs

‘Hoy en día con Toñi Moreno’ achieved its best performance to date, posting a 24.1% audience share and an average of 210,000 viewers. The morning magazine delivered minute-by-minute coverage of the latest developments surrounding the flooding caused by Storm Leonardo in Andalusia, including river overflows and the evolving weather situation across the region, providing continuous and up-to-date information.

The show also extended its weekday schedule with the addition of ‘+Hoy en día’ (2:00–2:30 PM), which, in its Wednesday broadcast, recorded a 17.5% share and an average audience of 359,000 viewers.

Record-breaking figures on Canal Sur

The strong ratings were maintained in the second morning slot with ‘Mesa de análisis’. The political and social current affairs programme, hosted by Teodoro León Gross, reached its highest performance on record, with an 18.2% audience share and 238,000 viewers.

These outstanding ratings consolidate audience loyalty to Secuoya Studios’ productions for Canal Sur, which, thanks to their credibility and rigorous approach to news coverage, have become a preferred choice for viewers across Andalusia.
